Nick Peterson is the Counselor for students in grades 9-12 with last names beginning with C-Fl and students working with Integrated Services case manager Michael Wilbourn.
Prior to joining the Fossil Ridge Counseling team in the fall of 2009, Nick was a High School and Middle School Band Director in Loveland, CO. He moved on to complete his Master of Education in degree in School Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado from 2007-2009. Nick is passionate about school counseling and improving systems to make students' high school experience as relevant and streamlined as possible. His biggest goal is to have a positive impact on students and help prepare them to be empathetic, compassionate, and positive contributors to the world.
Beyond counseling, Nick is a sponsor of FRHS's environmental club, and spends his time working as an instructor with the Fossil Ridge Marching Band program and other regional bands. He adjudicates marching band events around the country, performs with the Fort Collins Wind Symphony, and enjoys biking, yoga, recycling, gardening, volunteering, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors.
