Incoming 9th Grade Registration Timeline for 2024-2025 (current 8th graders planning to attend Fossil Ridge High School starting in August 2024)

December 5, 2023 (6-8pm): Fossil Ridge Open House
  • Join FRHS Staff as they share information on programs and classes offered in 2023-2024. Counselors will provide an overview presentation* about FRHS including our schedule, academics, school culture, and registration information. Tours will be available! This event is for students and families. 
    • *6:15-6:45: Counselor Presentations for Last names A-Mar
    • *7:00-7:30: Counselor Presentations for Last names Mas-Z
January 25/26, 2024:
  • FRHS Counselors will deliver a Registration Presentation to current 8th grade students at their Middle School. Fossil will provide each student a paper copy of the 9th grade Registration Form. Students should refer to the FRHS Course Guide to read course descriptions and learn more about available course options.
January 25/26-February 7/8, 2024:  ​January 31, 2024 (6-7pm): Incoming 9th Grade Registration Q & A Night 
  • Students and families are invited to this optional event if they have any questions about Registration for the 2024-2025 academic years. Counselors, Administrators, and students will be available for questions.
​February 5-9, 2024: Registration Collection
  • Students will compete their Registration form, and submit this to their High School Counselors who are visiting PSD middle schools this week.

Step by Step Directions:
  1. Review your 9th grade Registration Form and listen to the Registration Presentations delivered by the High School Counselors (Registration Forms will be handed out to PSD middle school students on either January 25th or 26th). Those unable to attend can pick up a hard copy from the front office or print one off from this website.
  2. Watch the Registration Video created by FRHS Counselors (see video under "Registration Materials and Resources"). Videos will be updated prior to January 25th and 26th.
  3. Utilize the resources on this webpage to fill out your 9th grade Registration Form. Resources include: FRHS Course Guide, Department Videos, Blank Multi-Year Planning Tool, and conversations with current teachers.
  4. If you have questions, attend our Q&A session held on January 31st from 6-7pm.
  5. Students will individually meet with their High School Counselor and turn in their 9th grade Registration form when HS Counselors visit Middle School the week of February 5th. If you are out of district, you can drop the Registration form off at the FRHS main office.
  6. All Registration forms should be turned into Fossil by Friday February 9th, 2024.
