Registration Dates & Policy for Current FRHS Students

Friday, January 29th, 2016
Transcript & Multi-Year Plan Lesson (video link) 
  • 9th-11th grade students receive transcripts in advisory. 
  • During advisory, students will construct/edit their Multi-Year Plan in our Naviance system. This activity is designed to help students plan and explore courses for the rest of high school and see how they relate to PSD graduation requirements and college admission requirements). *This is not official course registration.

Friday, February 5th, 2016
Registration Information & Materials
  • 9th-11th grade students receive official registration information for the next school year in advisory.  
  • Students will receive registration materials and a presentation on how to find necessary course planning information in the online course guide (www.frhscourseguide.org). 

Monday, February 22nd- Thursday, February 25th, 2016
Registration Collection Meetings with Counselors
  • Counselors will have brief face-to-face meetings with students during the first week of February to collect their course requests and discuss academic goals. 
  • Students who miss their appointment with their counselor will be scheduled for a make-up appointment with their counselor during the following week.  Counselors will complete registration for students who fail to meet with their counselor.

Registration Policy
  • This is the only chance for students to request courses for the upcoming school year, as course offerings and staffing allocations are based largely on student course requests.  Counselors advise students to choose wisely and to complete the following steps prior to requesting classes.
Registration Instructions & Information 
Review the videos for important information on registration and/or follow the instructions below:
  1. Create or revise your multi-year plan in Naviance to ensure you are planning courses to accomplish your goals.  This was an advisory activity on January 16th for all current students.
  2. Review registration handouts distributed during advisory on February 5th, 2016.
  3. Review the course guide for information on courses.
  4. Communicate with your teachers, parents, and counselor for questions.
  5. Fill out your form and obtain necessary teacher signatures.
  6. Meet with your counselor during your scheduled appointment.
  • Remember, this is different than your working multi-year plan in Naviance.  Your course requests are considered final, and are not subject to change once you submit.

Registration Forms for Current Students
See a secretary if you forgot your registration appointment time that was noted on your original form. Students who miss their scheduled appointment may be called in on Friday or the following week. Students who miss the 2nd attempt will have their schedules created by their counselor.
